As many will know Team Hippo has new management.  Bigblackcow is now the new GM at Team Hippo.  There have been many changes in the recent weeks and many faces have changed but the spirit of Team Hippo lives on.

With the merger of the Guild Selabria the ranks at Team Hippo are now back to viable raiding in 10 man and 25 man content.  We of course are still looking for new members with skill and maturity to increase our ranks.

Many thanks to the many Team Hippo members who made Team Hippo what it is and will be.

Congratulations are also in order for our new officer corps:  Rhorian, Stolas, Morgamorta and Roentje

To the new Team Hippo, may your swords always stay sharp, and your spells always crit.

A few more steps forward....

Slow developments this week; we have spent most of our time re-running naxxramas and malygos for upgrades for members and learning the fights around the XT-002 in ten man Ulduar (Not to mention gathering a few shiney upgrades for those hard-to-improve slots (trinkets, rings and WHY are belts always so hard to  replace?!?)

Well; probably the squishiest team we could muster went along last night; Kolgarn was fun; a nice line-dance-dps-race and with a reasonable amount of healer intensity, quite fun and a nice pace-setter.
The encounter is not particuarly hard but it has its tricky elements.

The hardest part of the "crazy-cat-lady" encounter, is infact the pull, it took 4-5 attempts to make, and we resorted to using an Engineering bunny-rabbit placed in her patroll path-off to the side, to Los her and her kitties around the corner to us, without them getting enough distance to pounce a clothie.

Good work all; and as a reminder from the officer team to you..
guildies; there is a somwhat important thread on the forums under
"Raiding news" that really needs your replies,  go go!!

Boom! Headshot

Progress update: Our practice on XT-002 25man is coming along nicely - we are starting to hit his enrage at around 15% now, which suggest we need to gear our dps a little more and hit them with the slack stick.... or .. the anit-slack stick I suppose, but those are expensive, so untill then ill have to cope with any jagged objects I can find!

So, below is a lovely image of us dying to the the Deconstructor, but were getting there! We hope to have some scrap metal to show you all by next week.

On a more positive note: we decided to take a break and downed Razorscale with relative ease this evening, one we figured a few little nifty tricks to help out, it was a matter of pumping the healers with coffe. heres a nice picture:

10 Man Progress

Morning Hippos and Hippoettes -
We dont normally take much note of ten man raiding but new content is somwhat challenging this time around, which makes me happy.

If anything, we have realised just how slack Naxxramas has taught us to be!  No more Jumping up and down and having Emote-Fights with Goljamun in raids! (well, almost no more) These fights actually require some skill and coordination!

So we now have a nice idea of the entire XT-002 Fight and Razorscale encounter on top of what we already did in 25 man last thursday, we can incorperate this into the tactics now; we also made 1 or 2 discoveries during the bossfights that are not included in the majority of boss writeups and are deffinatly beneficial to the outcome of the fights!

SO, I present to you, some pictures of rubble and a metal dragon!

First Steps into Ulduar!

Sooo! After a long morning of delayed server maintainece and such we got into Ulduar around 20.15 server time, not too bad. I will be the first to admit that vehicle combat is clunky and dull with a hint of gimmick about it, but hey, it was fun for a bit and the fight itself is reasonably enjoyable!

All in all a reasonable evening, The Leviathon down with ease and some good progress on the deconstructor, with us leaving the night him sitting at 65%~ ish.
The raid-team are going back to the white-board and we will come up with some more solid pans to help tackle each aspect people found tricky or annoying. (Notably deaths due to Tantrum+Flare combinations)

Stay tuned, and get doing your homework!   -  Koy
