We expect a level of maturity and respect from our members as outlined below.  We would like to cultivate a pleasant atmosphere within our chat channels, ventrilo servers and raids.

General

Members are expected to show respect for each other and contribute to a positive atmosphere within the guild as well as helping to promote our positive image.  We do not permit the following:

  • Rudeness to other guild members in guild chat or verntrilo.
  • Trade channel spamming, including taking part in arguments, being abusive to other players or just general spam.

We expect you to welcome new members and assist them where possible in order to make them feel at home.  Similarily, we expect you to help existing members as much as possible in order to contribute to the success of the guild (gathering materials, completing quest chains and so on).

Guild Chat

Keep the chat clean and amicable.  Do not seek to deliberately offend, not should you argue or spam.  Try to be helpful to new and existing members providing useful information whenever possible and asked for.

Raid Chat

Keep information in raid chat as pertinent as possible.  You should not:

  • Spam in raid chat or raid warnings.
  • Criticise people openly in raid chat.  There are often circumstances which will have affected a person's performance which are only apparent once the situation is looked at in more detail.
  • Repeatedly post damage meters.  This kind of analysis should be left until afterwards unless absolutely necessary.  No one cares how much damage you've done on the trash!

Ventrilo

When used correctly our voice chat server is a superb raiding utility and a wonderful source of amusement, however certain behaviour will not be tolerated:

  • Rudeness to other players.
  • Open arguments (if you must argue, take it into another channel or asked to be moved!)
  • Spam, including repeatedly joining and leaving channels.
  • Deliberately talking over other players.
  • Criticising other players who are on the server as if they weren't there.  Take this into another channel or private chat!
  • When in a raid, unless you have something really important to say: STFU and listen to the raid leaders!

Bans will be issued to repeat offenders.
