These are our raiding policies; potential applicants should read and understand them, current members should read and adhere to them.  There is to be no discussion on these terms, they are in the spirit of the guild; to support and assist its members, because without them we wouldn#t have come as far as we have and as fast as we have today.

Raid Attendance

Guild members who sign up for raids are expected to turn up on time and with the appropriate food buffs, ammunition, flasks/elixirs/potions and items to fulfil their roles.  The following are not acceptable:

  • Turning up without flasks/elixirs/options that can be purchased on the Auction House and expecting guildmembers to make or give them to you.
  • Turning up without sufficient reagents for spells and having to leave halfway through to get them.
  • Turning up with broken or nearly borken armour and expecting people to drop repair bots or mount their mammoths to repair.

Loot distribution - DKP

Every new member will begin their raiding with a starting pool of 10DKP.

Each raid provides on average a total of 25DKP.

A trial member may only bid 10DKP on an item.  No more, no less.

You may only bid DKP that has been accrued in previous raids (i.e. at the end of your first raid you may not bid on three items at 10DKP each as you currently only have 10DKP.  By the beginning of the next raid you will have 35DKP and then are able to bid).

The DKP system puts loot purchasing into guildmembers hands.  The Officers no longer have control over the direction in which the guild progresses through preferential distribution of loot.  Be prepared to farm bosses to progress, all the tanks, dps and healers may be scrabbling over the same loot!

When bidding on loot, members are asked to keep the following in mind to ensure everyone gears up accordingly:

  • How much of an upgrade it provides over your current item, or to others in the raid who may be bidding.
  • Whether the item is required for an off spec or main spec.  The main spec bid will always take priority.
  • How much loot you've picked up recently.  If its a minor upgrade perhaps you'll let it slide for someone else.  Afterall we can only progress when everyone is ready.
  • The raid leaders reserve the right to withhold loot from any member and/or assign a piece of loot to a certain member in the raid at no DKP cost and/or a fixed DKP price. N.B. We will never prevent you from having an item if you are the only person who can use it, even if you are on your trial period.

Know your spec, know what gear you need and know what is the best item available to you at any given time!  Remember the following:

  • If you can obtain a crafted item which is better than the one you could bid on, you should do so and not deny items to players when superior ones are available which you cannot be bothered to grind for yourself (we will help you out here!).
  • Be generous to your fellow guildies.

Teams

We maintain no set teams for heroic raids but try to take our better equipped and skilled players on 'Progress Raids' when we are making an attempte at a boss we have not killed before.

Farm Runs:

People are expected to swap in and out of teams to ensure that everyone, where possible gets a chance to obtain items they want or need.  Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Try to help people.  If you don't need to kill a particular boss, drop out and let someone else down them for a chance at an item they need.
  • Items are more important than emblems.  You should not be on the run in order to harvest these as they can be obtained elsewhere.
  • If your services (tanks and healers primarily) are required then offer them up to complete groups.

Following these simple rules helps to ensure that everyone gets more gear faster and that our progress in heroic dungeons is sped up.
